Phousi Guesthouse features the combination of the modernity and tradition of Lao wooden architecture. Located on the opposite side of the National Museum (Former Royal Palace) and of course in the hub of Luangprabang city, the guesthouse is within a short walking distance from Phousi Hill, Mekong River, and nearby attractive temples as well as city's restaurants, banks, travel agencies, and business and entertainment venues

It is also a great spot for seeing Buddhist monks collecting alms in every morning at 6: 30. Just get your cameras ready for that breathe-taking moment! A very long saffron line of Buddhist monks is nowhere to be seen but here in Luangprabang and the perfect place to observe that uncommon religious event is on the street in front of our guesthouse.

Plus, it is just a two-minute stroll away from a night market where all local Luangprabang citizens' handmade products are beautifully assembled for travelers to purchase as souvenirs. The night market begins from 4:00 – 10:00 pm every day. Moreover, the guesthouse has a nice balcony facing the National Museum; and from the balcony, the travelers will be able to take a picture of wonderful scenery of Phousi Hill and the sunset over the Mekong River.

Surrounded by city's major tourist attractions, Phousi Guesthouse is an ideal place for all kinds of travelers to stay while in Luangprabang.

Luang Prabang, UNESCO city

In 1995, the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recognized Luang Prabang city as one of the world heritage sites. The old Royal city has a long, rich and eventful history. Yet, Luang Prabang city has remained a small, pleasant place consisting of all tourist attractions within a short walking distance.

The city marrow streets lead to dozens of very beautiful temples as well as the houses that are perfectly constructed in a mixture of French-Indochinese architecture.

The former Royal Palace has recently turned into the National Museum and it has kept the famous Buddha Image called “Pra Bang.” Therefore, according to the legend, the name of this city was derived from the so-called Buddha Image and finally ended up calling the city as “Luangprabang.”

Luang Prabang local people are also renowned for their skills in making gorgeous silks and other handicrafts. Their silk making process is so unique in that it displays a variety of attractive silk patterns

But above all, this mysterious and peaceful city is still awaiting all travelers for exploration.

Phousi Guesthouse is well-known for its quiet location and we guarantee a peaceful night's sleep for all travelers. The guesthouse has a great courtyard which is decorated with a small artificial waterfall and encircled by tropical flower garden to make all travelers feel fresh and relaxed at all times while sitting, eating and reading.

The guesthouse offers the travelers a total of twelve clean and bright wooden rooms that come with built-in modern bathrooms, including hot and cold shower. All rooms have windows and are stylishly designed in a perfect mixture of modern and traditional Lao wooden room taste. The bathrooms are not too large but quite functional and clean. Beds are large and soft and come with comfortable mattresses. All essential room facilities such as air conditioners, satellite/cable TVs, refrigerators, and sitting areas are provided in order to assure our best service.
